For those wishing to keep the discussions going a forum has been set up for this purpose. It is very much a work in progress and will be fully developed over the coming months.

Witness Statement: I saw a bright orange light coming from the North East – not the colour of aircraft lights . – Watched as it came nearer – it moved without sound and too fast to be wind driven as there was no wind – speed when nearest maybe 30 mph? – object was quite low – maybe 500ft and was maybe oil drum shaped with orange at the top and deep orange/red at the bottom – I looked at it closely for about one minute thinking it must be one of the ” chinese lanterns” but the fact that there was no noise made me think otherwise.Went to get my binoculars and looked at it as it receded into the distance in a westerly direction – object appeared to carry on at same speed for a couple of minutes and almost move around lazely for a bit whilst getting further away and higher – then all of a sudden ( still looking though the binoculars) it accelerated exteremely quickly and moved from sight. – All I can say is that it is unidentified and is the second sighting I have had – previous was on new years eve when there was a succesion of similar objects to the south but much higher.

Witness Statement: in 2008 in mid august a thunderstorm was raging outside in a bluey black sky. something black, a large mass shaped like a shuttle from a star trek show, flew low over the house as i looked out the window due to lightning that flashed a minute or two before.
it was too low to be anything i know of, it did not make a sound at all. it had no lights, nor did it reflect any of the street lightslighting either, as though it absorbed the light. it was very fast, moving at least fifty feet in less than two seconds.
since then i have seen it twice more, but with a long swooshing sound. this sound i have heard thirteen times in all, including the two sightings.

Witness Statement: I was standing on my balcony looking out at sea (Bristol Channel) over the Pendine main beach front.
I observed a huge orange ball over the sea, I then took my powerful binoculars and I can assure any reader that through the binoculars I followed the Orange ball of what I can call fire firstly in a stop position above the horizon, slowly start to move towards Pendine and then it started to move upwards in a westerly direction and just poof , dissapear.
Both my wife and myself witnessed this unexplained sight, what we call a round orange ball like the planet Mars.
Yes this was surely unexplainable and yes we could clearly see it from both inside our house as well as from our balcony and espescially with my binoculars, quite a sight it was.

Witness Statement: Walking my dog when I saw some bright lights approaching at a low level. A black diamond shape appeared approx 10 metres fom tip to tip flying from point to point. I estimate the height to be forty to fifty metres from ground.It was totally silent and past by at a very slow pace and judt carried on over a hill.it had white lights on the front two sides at centre point,one white at rear point, red and green on other two points which made me think it was possibly and air craft of some kind, untilit passed overhead and I could make out the shape, speed and volume.

Witness Statement: Saw huge orange ball in the sky hovering and it looked as if it was on fire. That shocked that it made us stop the car and I tried to capture it on my phone, but it had moved very quickly further away and was much smaller. Also my daughter had witnessed something similar in Crewe near the same area the night before, but the one she saw was blue, but it really frightened her because she didn’t know what it was.

Witness Name: David Graham
Witness Statement: I was in my back garden with my son who is 40 years old. I was watching an aircraft fly over when I saw a small disc shaped object travel across the sky at high speed. I pointed it out to my son who saw it immediately. We both watched traverse the sky from the south east towards the north west in a dead straight line at speed until it suddenly disappeared. I went into the house to tell my wife when my son shouted that there was another one. I didn’t see the second one but my son described it as either larger or lower. It came from a more easterly direction but flew to the same point in the sky where it also suddenly disappeared. These were travelling at three to four times the speed of the big jets flying over at the time and were dark underneath and circular. They were too high to see any detail but my son said the second one appeared to have a darker ring round the circumference. I am an avid plane spotter but I have never seen anything like this. It was not a balloon or anything similar and I have no explanation as to what these objects were.

Witness Statement: the sky has been so clear, i was showing my child the amazing sight, looking at Orion, a star like object appeared and moved in the sky to the left and then dissappeared. it happened the second night, and the third night was longer and i even got my partner up with the binoculars to see. its not a plance or helicopter. there are no flashing lights, no sound. i live up in the mountain and i would hear any sound . the sky is completely clear. it looks like one of the bright stars from the orion constellation but it moves slowly up and to the left and fades away.
i would love to see it through a telescope to see it really close up! What is it !!!!!!
