Witness Statement: I would like to discuss a potential sighting of an object on repeat occasions. I live in Bromley Cross just North of Bolton and whilst I live in an area of high commercial aircraft activity I am aware of what a plane looks like in the dark and so know that what I have seen is nether aircraft nor helicopter. As a quick rundown the points that make me believe that this is no aircraft.
• Constant SE – NW heading, low altitude, constant speed NO SOUND
• Bright constant white light, visible despite progressing AWAY from point of view
• NO strobe lights or navigational beacons
The object has been observed by myself on 4 occasions now, latest being approx 7:20pm 21/03/09 ,by my partner on 2 and 2 separate family friends on separate occasions.
I am a military modeller as a hobby and have had an interest in military hardware of all types since childhood so I do know the difference between a plane and.....well.....something else. I am also an amateur astronomer (very amateur i might add) so am familiar with the normal goings on in the nights sky, this is no shooting star and unless i am very much mistaken a satellite or the ISS (though i am happy to be proven incorrect) on each occasion the object has been on what i estimate to be the same bearing so it is most likely man made as it’s trajectory is constant. I am doing my own, somewhat limited research to determine whether any man made objects could or should exhibit the same characteristics.

I popped outside tonight,Sat 8th May 2010.Looking East in the sky I noticed a bright orange ball type light moving quite fast towards west direction.There was no sound,strobes or anything that identifys it as a plane or helicopter.It made various sudden movements in the sky doing sharp turns.Im ex Raf and have seen many aircraft in the night sky (having served with tornados) and there is no way this was a plane.It went over the house,fading as it went over and as i ran through the house to the back it disapeared.The sky was clear with the odd light cloud. It goose pimpled me and Im at ends to explain what it was. Lets hope somebody else saw this.
