Witness Statement: Looked up in a Westerly direction to see a single round bright orange glowing ball of light. It was not moving and made no sound. Don’t know how long it had been there but after watching it for approx 1 minute I called my Husband out to look at it too. Then after approx another couple of minutes another one joined it from the east. It moved much faster than a plane or a helicopter which we thought it was at first. It then stopped and the two of them stayed there for another couple of minutes without moving and no sound. Then suddenly the first one which was smaller and not so bright disappeared before our eyes then the second one disappeared. Still no sound. Managed to record it all on camcorder. They were lower than a commercial planes flight path. Not into ufo’s but this is the strangest thing we have EVER seen and we know it was not a plane, helicoptor or a hot air balloon.!!!!!

I was in my car with my parents on Saturday night (11 July) driving into Colchester from Nayland at 10.15pm and saw two large, bright orange lights, quite low, moving slowly in a north easterly direction. My dad thought they were helicopters, so I pulled over and switched my engine off and got out of the car. There was no noise and then another larger light appeared and followed the other two. There appeared to be red glow surrounding the orange. The following day I was listening to BBC Essex and they asked if anyone had seen these lights as a lady had reported a sighting. I phoned in to report what I had seen, but heard nothing back. I would be interested to see the video to compare. Any other sightings?
