Witness Statement: Walking with my brother and son from a Charity function, my son pointed out a bright ball of fire hovering over the South of Eastbourne, then gradually falling, but completely disappeared after about 5 minutes. (not sure how long it had been there before we noticed it). My initial thought was that it was an aircraft on fire or a distress signal from out at sea. I have looked at footage of Chinese lanterns and it wasn't one of these. A couple had also stopped in the street to look at it and we had a conversation about it with them.
