Withernsea, East Yorkshire-12th July 2009
Location of Sighting: Withernsea, East Yorkshire
Date of Sighting: Sunday 12th July 2009
Time: 10.40pm
Witness Name: Brian Cloke
Witness Statement: I was in my garden which overlooks the sea, chatting to my neighbour.
We saw a pair of bright orange circular lights, travelling in parallel, smoothly but silently, apparently below cloud level, moving from west to east. They disappeared after about 30 seconds. The most significant thing was the silence. I stayed outside for a further 30 minutes but saw nothing else.
I have never seen anything like this before (I’ll be 62 next month) and had previously been a sceptic.

Brian Cloke RE: I live in NW London and last sunday evenong around 9.45pm me and my mother saw a bright orange fireball object fly right over our house. It wasn’t a plane or helicopter as it made no noise or flashing lights and flew across the flight path of a plane at the same altitude. To measure it’s size to the plane the orange fireball was enormous as it disappeared in a North Westerley direction kind of up into space. About an hour later you witness the same thing in your neck of the woods where mine was heading, hmmmm ok I was a sceptic and can’t make head or tail of it at all and believe me i don’t want to see that thing again as it looked rather sinister.
we do have a couple of military basis around here but they wouldn’t of had time to intercept it even if the alarm was raised.

This orange fireball type UFO has been spotted all over regularly. I saw it on New Years DAy over Beverley at 00.14am for 50 seconds. Records going back report it seen during the First World War.

Hi, We were walking on the beach at withernsea last night (19th May 2009) and saw these lights you describe.
They seemed a bit like flares but silent and seem to be flying over and fading out across the sea.
We counted about 7 in total over a period of about 10 minutes.
Very strange indeed..!
