I also saw this, however, I remember seeing abut 10 – 15 of the lights accross the sky, all slowly heading in one general direction. It was between 10 & 11oClock at night. They bright orange objects appeared to grow brighter untill a smaller light would ‘drop off’ them and fall down, burning out on the way.

My husband also claims to have seen five unexplained bright lights travelling slowly in a line across the sky in a north-easterly direction at around 11:30pm. (We live in East Yorkshire.) He categorically states it was not an aircraft and had never seen anything like it before. He is totally sceptical of ufos. The lights just faded away.

me and my cousin and aunite were travelling back from sherboune to yeovil on the duel carriage way and we saw about 20 of them and when the orange ones dissapeared a single white one jsut appeared travelled a little disstance then dissapeared then when one dissapeared another one appeared in exactly the same spot as the other one did before it this repeated for a while. My other cousin tried to tell us it was tribute bloons but seeing that these lights were seen in other places in england makes me wonder

I understand this is supposed to be UK-US only, but given the date you might be interested in seeing this. These were shot on August 1st 2009 over Novi Sad in northern Serbia, around 11:30 PM CET.

The youtube comments (in Serbian) suggest people saw exactly the same thing in the sky on following dates as well:
- around July 20th
- August 1st
- August 7th
- August 8th

It was the 12th August, about 22.20hrs, went outside to watch for the meteor shower. What we saw was a bright orange light coming from the south of Scunthorpe towards the Westcliff area. It was bright like a star photographed with a starlight filter…It moved slowly with no sound, The light moved slowly at all times, moving from the south to the west towards the Trent. We always see and hear Planes and Helicopters, but this made NO noise. I would estimate it`s closest distance from us as about half a mile before turning to the west.

At 9:42pm last night after shopping at Sainsbury’s me, my son and daughter and her boyfriend all spotted a big orange light in the sky. I can only describe it as a ball of fire. At first we all thought it could be a plane in the sky on fire, then thought perhaps it could be a meteorite, tried to take a photo of it and after looked at it and it’s disappeared! Really strange – would like to know what it is?

I saw something along the lines the other day, must of been about half 10pm..
I spotted an orange ball of light, thought it was a meteor but it was going pretty slow…
Kept watching it for about just over a minute until it had vanished completely. Not a clue what it was though!

me and some friends where standing having a smoke. when i happened to look up into the sky and i seen this ball of fire. which i found quite odd as it came down i got my phone out and recorded it. there was no noise from it so it couldnt have been a plane. and it couldnt have been a commet or anthing as it started going back up! then it disappeared. i dont beleive in ufo an aliens but after this sighting i do.

not sure what i seen but reading some of these comments, pretty simular. On sunday evening at around 6-6.15pm, i was in my car and noticed an bright orange ball in the sky above ashby in the direction of everest road in scunthorpe. it looked a bit like a ball of fire, uneven shape. my initial thought was maybe a meteriod??? but when i stopped the car to turn the corner…i noticed it move up and then down. i carried on driving thinking i was going mad, but quickly looked behind me but could no longer see it.
