Whitestone, Nuneaton-23rd August 2009
Location of Sighting: Whitestone, Nuneaton, Warks.
Date of Sighting: 23.08.09
Time: 03.05.00am
Witness Name: Teresa & Craig Plant
Witness Statement: Awakening at 3.00am, too hot, I decided to open the window of the bedroom. I saw something which caught my eye. I put on my glasses and could see clearly a strange light in the sky. I thought it was an aborora oreatis but then realised it was more like a disco ball spinning in the sky. It was very symmetrical, with equidistant white lights which we observed for over an hour and Craig took video footage on his phone. We were amazed!!! But when we looked at the video footage later that day, we could see nothing! If anyone can bring any light or information on this subject, we would love to know! When will we see them again? Are they producing crop circles in this area? The ladybrook? We will investigate over the next few days.....

i too saw this ball of lights, i was driving back from work along the nuneaton lutterworth road a427 towards nuneaton at 3 am on the 23/08/09 and i noticed some lights moving, at first i thought it might be a farmer haymaking through the night but as i could see through the bushes i noticed it was a big round disc like with conical shape towards the bottom it wasnt solid more like a symetrical group of lights spinning in a clockwise direction, it came so low and near to my car that it scared the life out of me, i followed it the entire length of the a427 and headed towards nuneaton it was still there i was that amazed by it that i forgot to take any footage with my mobile, i am so glad someone else has placed a report of this incident on here as i thought i was seeing things, it was definatly not man made thats for sure, i reported it to the police and could still see it in the sky from my house in bedworth untill around 04.30 i returned to lutterworth road with my camera to try to video it but it had gone, if anyone else has seen this please add your comments

I too saw this disco ball type light show on the clouds, but it was dead on midnight on the 22nd of august. I was in stockingford just off heath end road. The lights seemes to be a collection of white spotlights, all spiralling and moving in a clear left to right pattern on the underside of the clouds. I was quick to dismiss it as a light show of sorts. But at midnight this didnt seem plausable?! I stayed out to watch them for a good 30 minutes until the clouds had cleared and the lights were no longer visible. The lights spread way too wide and long to be the usual spotlight. I’ve heard several instances of these odd lights from friends and family. All of which live within the local area and have all described to the ‘T’ the exact lights i have seen. However they were all seperate instances and all on different dates, but each after midnight at least. Any information would be greatly appreciated. To ease my head =)

I don’t know, Jordan. What you saw might have been a type of laser light display. Or maybe not.
I have a hunch ‘ET’ is doing similar things.
You observe, “The lights spread way too wide and long to be the usual spotlight”. Perhaps that’s a clue to what they really are. And, don’t you think you or your friends and family would have run into information about local light displays by now?
We don’t need to have an uneasy head, I think, because it seems quite clear ET is around doing very interesting things, and also humans do very interesting things. So, ‘no probs’(!)
Thanks for posting your report, I had an online look around your nearby Arbury Estate, and was intrigued by the canal system a baronet devised around Arbury Hall.
Maybe you like having a mind which is stirred, I do (I think); so what about this report of six lights in Cornwall in early July which “faded in and out and then swept out in opposite directions”, and “made a formation that looked like a smiling face” …

I’ve seen these too. Maybe a dozen lights, shining onto the cloudbase, spinning and moving in one direction, then reversing spin and moving back. Very regular. A group of us in the garden saw the lights for over an hour on 5/9/9.
We assumed it was revolving spotlights from a nightclub or stadium.

I witnessed this same disco ball effect light pattern which appeared on the clouds above George Eliot school, Nuneaton at 00:30 18-09-09. I observed the display for at least 45 mins and timed the pattern which was repeated every 20 seconds, This leads me to believe it was infact a laser light show or something to that affect. Nonetheless i am intrigued to find out who is behind this. I do believe we have intelligent life on other planets, but on this occassion i don’t think this is them.

Thur 17th Sept 09. I was leaving my dance class on thursday evening 9.30p.m. when i saw these swirling white lights doing a rotation of the sky as though scanning around. i then saw two black balls in the sky which were moving towards each other, they seemed to shange shape as the got closer, they hovered around for ages and the white lights kept rotating. I watched for over 20 minutes and then decided to make my way home. Could not see any explination for these lights and there was not sound in the area at all it was silent! Very amazing.

I saw the same strange lights at 01.20 on 18th september 2009. I was travelling home from work with my brother in law along the lutterworth road when he said he could see these strange lights. I looked across the fields and saw this spinning light effect, it was amazing. My brother in law thought he was seeing things until I saw it aswell. He pulled the car over near bramcote and we got out and watched it for about 5 minutes. We tried to film in with our mobiles but it wouldnt work. We got back into the car and set off again. We could still see it as we got into whitestone. We lost site of it once we neared the centre of nuneaton but as we neared home we spotted it again at the top of the hill near park lane school looking across towards camp hill. What a strange journey home, i still cant believe what we saw but it was amazing to watch. I told my wife when I got home and she thought I was mad. We both knew nobody would believe what we had seen as we had no proof, after reading all these reports its nice to know we are not completley bonkers.

Mark,
The rotating circle of white blobs were seen in Bulkington from 12;15am to 1:15 am on Sept 18th too, not far away from where you first saw it initially. This rather eliminates the laser projection notion…….unless we have a synchronised laser-projection going on in and around Nuneaton in the early hours of Friday morning

I too saw something like this on Thursday night at around 2-3am it was like the northern lights but just one colour of a kind of greeny grey and went on for at least 40 minutes…. very strange – I have no idea what it was…?

I can see them right now from the balcony of my flat in Attleborough. You can see this on many nights at around this time and tonight, I’ve seen it going for at least the last 30 minutes or so. I’ve seen this on a number of nights since I moved in nearly two years ago.
If this is a ground projection of some sort, from the way in which the rotation moves across the sky, it would appear broadly to be situated somewhere near the railway line over which Lutterworth Road runs, or perhaps somewhere near Pauls Land or the surrounding area.
Perhaps it might be related to railway works being undertaken at night?

Ok, here’s what, this is in no way any ground based illumination of the sky. I say this because three of us wittnessed the exact same thing….all the way in Trinidad & Tobago, on the night of Sunday the 18th of July, 2010. They seemed to be covering a great expanse of sky, and we thought that, based on how the once calm cloudbase began to become ‘roiled’ that something quite large must have been hovering there. The concentric, rotating circular lights seem to have been lighting up the clouds from above. We were sitting outside one of our bandrooms in the Woodbrook area of Port of Spain. There were at least three counter rotating circles, with irregular patterns, almost like a disco ball, however the inner rings were moving counter clockwise while the outer rings seemed to move in the opposite direction. We noticed them at around 11.30 pm and were totally amazed by them for the better part of the next 2 hours. We tried to photograph and to take video footage with camera phones, and will be exporting the images to a computer soon to see what we can make out in the pics. Strangely enough, about half an hour before the sighting, we observed an aircraft leaving a chemtrail, and then the lights appeared DIRECTLY ABOVE US. This is proof I think that we were observing something that did not have a ground based source, but instead must have been eminating from beyond the clouds. Neither did we observe any light trails or beams comming up from the ground to the sky in our immediate vicinity. We even took a drive around the area, in search of ant events or party venues that may have been responsible for the lights, however we found no such events or ground based light sources.
