Delph, Oldham-16th October 2009
Location of Sighting: Delph (Oldham)
Date of Sighting: 16/10/2009
Time: 19:25 hours
Witness Name: The Don
Witness Statement: At 19:25hrs 0n 16/10/09, I noticed an amber light travelling from NW to SE. The light travelled much faster in comparison to standard Airline planes that travel through the area..I watched the light for approximately 20 seconds as it slowed down, banked to the right and headed west towards Oldham and disappeared. I ran inside and grabbed my camcorder, only to see a second identical object travelling at same speed and take the same direction of travel... this was weird in itself! Only then to be presented with a third identical object that did exactly the same. All three objects were silent and I used to be a keen astronomer so know my stuff.

I have just (about 22.10hrs -16/10/09) seen a bright orange light head over my house in Royton from the direction of Oldham. It went in a straight line and just disappeared to the left of Tandle Hills. Seemed to have burned itself out. It had a trail and I guessed at it being somthing falling from space ? Hopefully there will be somthing in “The Chron” on Monday !

Saw an amber light from Mossley (a few miles away) at around the same time. Only saw one light traveling in a straight line- I would say NE to SW. Clear sky, so no indication of height relative to clouds, but appeared to be high. This was about an hour after dusk- something in orbit reflecting the sun?

Oops, miss typed the time last night – should have said about 21.10. Will have to check the direction out but there was only one light.

At midnight on 17th/18th October two bright orange lights flew over Newton Heath coming from the North No sound was heard and they were both following the same flight pattern and were clear to see reported to GMP as UFOs that may be in distress. There was no smell and at times the lights stopped and then restarted in perfect unison. Wonderful to see.
