St John’s Town of Dalry, Dumfries and Galloway-14th November 2009

Time: 21.45-22.00 approx

Witness Statement: I was driving along the A713 heading towards Ayr. I entered the village of Dalry and noticed in the sky above a VERY bright orange/red object which was a lot brighter and bigger than any typical star. This is a common route for aircraft heading to Prestwick Int’l, however, after initially thinking it was moving, realised it was stationary and the light was constant. On entering the village, other people were outside also looking into the night sky at this, I would like to know what they thought about this!! As I pulled up to phone a family member, the light disappeared almost instantly.

WE SAW THIS NORTH OF SHREWSBURY YESTERDAY BETWEEN 1805 HOURS AND 1850 HOURS EXACTLY THE SAME OBJECT!!!

There seems to be quite a lot of similar sightings over the last couple of days which is intriguing. I’m not usually a big believer or enthusiast but this was very very strange!
Definitely not a plane even though its on a flightpath, as no plane light is that big and there was no flashing or movement until it just disappeared very quickly. A good number of people were out watching it too when I drove through the town which says a lot too! If it was some sort of astronomical phenomenon, I would have thought it would have been reported in the media or something over the weekend, seeing as it was so noticeable!

no media have come back to me on it although they have all been told via email. i am still awaiting an MOD response but i’m not holding out much luck for that.
whatever it was it was not conventional and was not military craft or satelite. lets keep sky watching and see if it comes back. i suspect it will.
