Witness Statement: I was defrosting the car and just happened to look up and saw three quite bright orange lights in a triangle type shape and were moving at a steady pace, No noise and below cloud level. I watched the lights for a few mins before the furthest light away shot off at high speed and then the nearest light joined with the second light and just vanished, i first thought of the chinese lanterns but then realised that the breeze was completely in the wrong direction.
The lights were travelling towards leicester forest east area.

I saw a orange light in rugby over New Bilton at about 7.20pm (ish)on the 25th dec 09 (no i wasn’t drunk!!!)
What I saw was a single orange light looked quite low and moving very fast….not a single sound as I was expecting to hear the motor blades of a helicopter…all i heard was traffic from Leicester road.
Glad someone else has seen this.

Hi Chris, I only found this site today, so I’m a bit late in replying. I’ve just posted my own sighting, but it wasn’t on 25th December (and I’ve had four sightings now). My first was over Warwick on 20th June 2009, and like you, myself and two others witnessed three orange lights in a triangle..but ours was inverted. It was cloudless and windless and we could see stars behind the lights. As they got level with us, they went ‘out’ one by one. I didn’t see them go off at speed, but it was still really odd. We saw another one on its own a bit further up the road. It was lower, larger and brighter. I’ve seen them twice more on my own since then..once on New Year’s Eve travelling from Coventry towards Warwick (one on its own) and then early in Jan 2010 one (or possibly two) passing my living room window. I live in the town centre of Warwick and a flight path goes past our lounge. One orange light went in the opposite direction to the flight path, followed by another (or the same one) a few moments later. My latest sighting was on the motorway in Wales this weekend just gone. My partner Jack thinks we were level with Port Talbot when we saw seven orange lights…five in front in a haphazard line and two behind. I think I may have to post the Welsh sighting separately. I didn’t know this sight existed..I’ve looked up ‘orange lights’ every now and then but never found anyone who saw the same ones as we did. I’m not sure whether to be excited or alarmed by seeing so many in 7 months, but I’d love to know what they are!
