Location of Sighting: Cambridge
Date of Sighting: 01.01.2010
Time: 02:00
Witness Name: David
Witness Statement: Dear Sir/Madam,

I thought I'd drop you an email to inform you of a sighting. My
partner and I were walking home (on Lady Margaret Road) around 2.00am this morning (New Years Day) admiring the full moon, when we sighted a large bright object in the sky directly over head traveling South East at a
graceful but swift pace. It was around 1/6th the size of the moon . . .
extremely bright white, perfectly round, with a slightly soft blurred edge (with hints of blue and orange). It did not flash or pulsate in any way, there was absolutely no sound, and yet
the object was clearly quite low (or appeared to be). We stood and watched for around 60-90 seconds as it gradually shrank in size and brightness to around the size of a regular star, as it moved towards the horizon, tracing a slightly curved trajectory into the distance. It was definately not a plane, or a helicopter search light, of which we have seen many. . . this was without doubt something else. My partner and I were under illusions and both in somewhat disbelief at what we were witnessing . . .

I thought you might find it of interest anyhows . . and wondered if you have received any similar reports? Please feel free to contact me should you wish to do so . . .
