Witness Statement: I'm not one to believe in UFO sightings mainly because I have never seen one. Until last night.....
I was driving down my road in an easterly direction just after 10PM. It was a very cold and clear night and the visability was excellent. I saw a bright orange ball rapidly shoot up into the night sky. The object looked like it was launched from the ground and seemed to hover at altitude. Obviously the ball got smaller the higher it went but eventually it hovered in the same position almost like a very bright star.
Less than a minute later another orange ball apeared, moving rapidly upwards and in a similar direction to the first. Several followed shortly after (around 7 in total) and they all hovered for a while before quickly disapearing one by one in quick sucession.
These were something I could not explain. They were definitely not lanterns, fireworks, planes or helicopters. They almost seemed to move initially in a rocket like fashion before standing still. I was quite a distance away but the orange orb like objects seemed to be quite large.
The objects looked like they were a few miles away so I am wondering if anyone closer could shed any light on what they were. They were quite spectacular and were seen by several people on the same road as me. Surley others saw the same thing. I live in Slough, Berkshire and they came from a north easterly direction.
Maybe there is a rational explanation for these particular UFOs but personally, I have never seen anything like it.

Hi! on sunday the 17 january, my partner and I were driving towards southend on sea from the shoebury direction, we saw three bright orange objects in the sky they were not that high up, we pulled up and switched our engine off. these objects had no flashing or coloured lights like normal planes/ helicoptors, they were travelling a small distance apart in a line and were moving quite slowly. suddenly third object excelerated at a tremendous rate, overtook the first two objects and dissapeared into the distance until it was just a small speck in the sky, this happen over a couple of minutes maximum. the other two obects continued at there slow pace and made a slight turn /arc to the right. They were not helicoptors there was no sound and were not high enough to leave a vapour trail. I would make a guess they were all flying at about a thousand feet up. no helicopter could every go at this speed. the time was 10.30 pm on sunday the 17 jan.

well. last night i was with my friends, and we were on facebook and we saw a few status’s about flashing red thing in the sky we looked outside and we saw this ‘flashing ”stars” the were as far away as a star but they were flashing a green, read and blue light(s) we were staring at them and we saw other ‘stars’ moving around them we had a long chat about this we looked outside again and we saw this object with 2 lights we saw 2 lights, one was flashing and one was not i saw them both red but my friend saw one one of them white and and my other saw one of them blue it was flying across my road in a car speed it creeped us out sooo much then the stars were gone. 10th july 2010 x
