Time: 8.30/8.45pm approx

Witness Statement: Whilst travelling back from visiting a friend in Banbury, we were driving along the M40 (approx 26 miles from Middleton Cheney) when suddenly my daughter said "wow!.. mum, what was that"? She said a bright white light had zoomed across the road ahead of us and went very near to a car .. I must have literally just looked in my rear mirror or something at the time it happened because I didn't see it flash across the road but after she told me I looked to the right where she said she could still see it and sure enough a really bright white light was either hovering just on the other side of the road or in a tree.. there were trees along that stretch of motorway I think but it was very dark so couldn't really see if it was or not.. it was so strange as it was just 'sat' there.. I was so pleased when I looked it up on the internet and found that someone else saw the same thing!.. any ideas?

As I read it, I wondered if what you saw was the ‘white-light’ craft which zoomed through the Miillennium Bridge over the River Tyne in August last year …. filmed live on BBC News.

seen the exact same thing in bicester 6 months ago! did it have any glare?

Hi It has now been a year since I videoed these two mysterious UFO’s over Bicester at 21.25 approx on 2nd Jan 2010. These were not conventional aircraft as I have a certificate (CAA, FAA, ICAO) and both these craft were flying quite low and both emitted an orange pulsating glow. The skies were clear and I agree that both UFO’s came from the direction of the M40 interchange just outside Bicester. Best wishes Paul

I witnessed something strange driving along the road between Kings Sutton and Aynho last night (19.30 31st Jan 10). The skys were crystal clear so decided to get a good look at the stars. Driving towards Aynho I noticed something in the corner of my eye to the left and kept on glancing until I decided to pull over before I ended up in field. What I first thought was Mars (Orion and Sirius were right ahead of me) as it was red and twinkling if not burning, was moving directly to the right, around 20 degrees above horizon, before dissapearing. It kind of burned up, flickering into thin air. It was large, oval, orangey-red and had a real presence about it. I initially put it down to something related to nearby USAF Croughton (not an active airbase) but it seemed too large compared to it’s speed. Could be nothing but it really captured my attention on such a clear night.
