Witness Statement: a black oblong shape - through binoculars resolved as two cylindrical shapes joined by a flatter section with what appeared to be a semicircular section at the back with a top to bottom hole through which I could see the sunset - flying at moderate speed into the west, completely silent - at moderate height - well above trees but much lower than aircraft. The impression was of definite powered flight not floating, with no deviation.

Witness Statement: me and friend were outside myself after i had been picked up from work by him. we were pushing a car back into my garage when we heard this whooshing sound like a fighter jet going past but without the sound of the engines almost like whatever it was had no combustion/jet engines. this thing was going very very very fast.neither of us saw anything but could tell that whatever it was it was very low only a few hundred feet above the houses. we both shocked looked at the sky to see if we could see anything when about 30 seconds later whilst both of us where looking directly up at the sky we heard the same sound come back past but again we could not see anything just hear this incredibly fast whooshing air sound as if something incredibly fast wash pushing the air aside, you could sense something was there but could not see it. We are both of engineering backgrounds and not total idiots but know that nothing could go anywhere near that fast without some kind of loud engine or rocket but this was dead silent and stunned both of us.please anyone else who saw anything similar on the same night contact us. it cant have been any conventional aircraft, just got no idea what it was at al!?!?!?!? life changing experience

Witness Statement: I was in my back garden having a cigarette when I saw an orange object flying towards the Lower stondon area from the direction of Bedford. As it approached Lower stondon, it then turned and headed in the direction of Luton. I called my father and he saw the same thing. It was not making any noise and looked like a plane flying which was on fire. It was far to big and moving at a good pace for it to be a chinese lantern. I have never really believed in UFO's but I sure can't explain what I have seen. I dont believe it was a plane as there were no lights flashing on it as you would usually see.

Witness Statement: At around 21:30, today (27/8/10) I was out jogging down Westfield rd Dunstable, as I passed the 8 bells pub a number of orange lights caught my eyes, I stopped in amazement and counted eight in total. they where to close together to be planes and the light was almost like looking at street lamps,
not one of the lights appear to be moving in the same direction. I manage to get a picture on my iPhone which I was using as an iPod at the time, although it only shows four of the lights and isn’t very clear unfortunately. Strange, but I thought I’d share.

Witness Statement: I was in my garden when I looked over towards the airport and saw 3 orange orbs, splitting out and flying away all in different speeds & trajectories 1 would catch up then move another direction, when 1 faded from sight I ran inside to call out my family, when we came back out another 3 orbs appeared from the same spot, my brother told me he has seen this before. I know that is it near impossible for this to be aeroplanes as 3 planes couldn't fly out at the same time, and while planes are a dim white light these were bright orange!! I'm sure there is a rational explanation to this but it was the strangest thing I ever seen

Witness Statement: At approx 10.45pm a large bright orange orb moved silently across the sky at speed. This is exactly 7 days and 15 minutes since my dad and I last saw this. We stood around for a while waiting to see if there would be any more like last week, and we were glad we did, as a similar display occurred:

11.00pm From west to east, a second bright orange orb moved across the sky, again at speed. 10 to 15 seconds later, a third, and then 10 minutes after that, a fourth followed its exact flight path. There was no activity after this, as planes were flying across. My dad and I noticed that, the orbs do not appear when planes are in the sky.

The planes had gone, and at 11.24, a fifth orange orb silently followed the same flight path, less than a minute later a sixth. Finally, at 11.35, a seventh moved across, and this was the final one.

We believe we could have missed one as there were eight last week.

I do not believe these are lanterns due to the size and speed of the objects. They are not moving in the direction of the wind, and these things move with such precision, that when I say “The same flight path” I literally mean exactly the same horizontal line west to east at speed. They do not flicker, however looking with binoculars, it appears to pulsate slowly with a definite rhythm (albeit slow).

Witness Statement: At 22.30 exactly, my dad, stunned, looked outside and pointed at an orange light moving across the sky from east to west and asked me “Can you see that as well?” Bit of an odd question, but my reply was “Yes I can”, and then it struck me exactly what I was looking at…
A huge, low flying bright non-flickering ball, moving faster than any aircraft I am familiar with was moving completely silently across the sky.
After it had reached far west, it disappeared into the clouds. I only saw one object, but my dad believes that as it was disappearing into the clouds, it had separated into three.
Following this, my dad admitted that he had seen the same bright orange object last Saturday, also at 22.30, but told no one about this.
At dead on 11.00, it was honestly as if it were a déjà vu situation, when another orange bright object followed the exact same flight path as the first, which we had seen a half hour ago. Again, bright orange non-flickering light moving much faster than an airplane, and silent.
Following this, we went back inside and discovered this website, and have been reading of similar reports around the Bedford area, which genuinely freaked us out a little.
We went outside again at about 11.30 for one last view, and nothing. About to call it quits, one orange light returned in the far west, and appeared to be moving away from us even further at an extremely high speed. After it had reached a distance leaving it barely visible, a second orange light came into view, and followed the same flight path. We counted a total of eight of these huge bright objects moving away from us at incredible speeds.
During this “fleet” I went to grab a pair of binoculars. I heard my dad shout, and rushed back, and he said he saw one of the lights sort of swoop back in our direction, almost overhead, and return to it’s origin. I did not see this though, but it still freaked me out.
Please if anyone from Bedford has seen these lights, do comment.

Witness Statement: Looking out of the 7th floor window in a westerly direction when a very bright orange light appears SW in the sky, moving NE towards me. It took about 5secs to get from the horizon and then pass over my head. The front looked as though it was on fire but it had a long thin body behind its fiery head. I thought it was a meteor at first but, have seen many and none have looked like this. Anyway, my girlfriend saw it too, as I called her to the window the moment I spotted it, We discussed it for about half an hour but, still kept our eyes on the sky, when to our amazment, it reappeared in the same place again, exactely the same as before but an hour and a half later. I can only presume that this object took one and a half hours to make an orbit, which puts its speed approx. 16,500 miles an hour. We are looking at now and expecting it back at approx 01:25 11/7/2010

Witness Statement: Peter Fido... I believe you saw what you did! On the 3rd of July at around 11ish my friend Leon and myself Steve were sat out in the garden star gazing. We saw quite a few sattelites and a good few shooting stars as we often do. something caught my eye, and I saw something dip into view, get very bright and shoot of out view again. I can only describe it as a curve ball entering our view from the sky, stop for aproximatly 1 second and curve back out of site again! I went mad and shouted at leon to see if he saw it, and he didn't i had convinced myself I saw a UFO. Anyway although Leon didn't see that, about five minutes later, we both saw exactly the same thing, very close up. It zipped past our eyes in only a few moments and it was a large ball of orangy light. It was totally silent and zipped across our rooftops at very high speed. The closest thing it looked like was a comet, but a very large, close, low comet!!! It defintely wasn't though. I live in luton, and right behind luton airport too. Just like in an earlier report under quite a busy flight path. funnily enough we never noticed and now thinking back cannot recall one plane coming over head. Anyway we've been meaning to check on the internet to see if anyone else had seen anything and we are both gobsmacked at how many sightings very similar to ours have been reported over the past few months from the UK. Someone must have radar readings or evidence or something to check?

Witness Statement: Saw 2 bright orange lights over Dunstable, Bedfordshire, heading from west to south east at a rate 4x faster than commercial airliners (Dunstable is close to Luton airport, so commercial aircraft are easy to spot) one headed off in a southerly direction and dissapeared almost instantly, the other continued in a north north east direction and slow dropped below blows down to the south east of Dunstable
