Witness Statement: I've seen this three times now. Last night we were sat with our blinds open as usual in the back lounge when a bright orange light just appeard in the sky. We see many planes as we are under a flight path but this light was to briight to be a plane and there were no other flashing lights i.e. on the wings. It was not a helicopter eiother as it moved north then just stopped and moved a little south then carried on north the turn vwas to sharpe for a helicopter. I ran outside as the object went behined the house over the road. The sky was clear with no planes in the area and all i could see were stars. The night before driving home from Thatcham we saw the same light but we were on the move so could'nt stop

Witness Statement: After visiting my mum's house yesterday, I left around 10.15pm. As we both stood at the front door, immediately in front of us was a large, round orange ball in the sky that appeared to be surrounded in flames. To the naked eye, it appeared to be a similar size to the moon on a typical night, maybe slightly smaller. My first reaction was that it looked like a meteor. But as we both stood watching this very eery sight, we both concluded that we were witnessing the decent of a aircraft on fire. It was moving steadily downwards at a speed the eye would watch a plane at the height it was flying. It soon disappeared over the horizon of some rooftops, some ten or so seconds after witnessing it. I did reach into my pocket for my phone to record it, but frustratingly I was too late. Having never witnessed anything like this, I, like my mum, had concluded we'd just seen the final moments of a plane crash. When I returned home, I immediately put on the news channels as well as my laptop, expecting to see the news unfold. When Googling this morning, I found this site whereby there were other witnesses. As a very sceptical person to the UFO phenomenon, I find myself writing this more confused and freaked out than last night! I'm just glad I wasn't alone in witnessing this 'event'. How I wish I'd recorded it!

Witness Statement: Me and my family were driving back from our holiday in Cornwall, along the M4. We were heading for Kent. As the light began to fade, I noticed a small but bright orange light smoothly flying from the south. I thought it might be a chinese lantern, but it was moving far to quickly. It crossed the motorway and headed over to a town. It then stopped, and the ornage light dissapered. It now began flashing white and red. As we drove past the town, it started moving slowly towards the road. Thinking that this might be a UFO, I looked around to see if it was alone. It wasn't. Behind us, at about 2000-3000ft were 2 more of he objects, also flashing. They were moving at about the speed of the traffic on the road. Then another appeared, on the right side of the road. It was much lower, and going at what I guessed around 100mph. All the objects followed the road perfectly until Heathrow Airport. They suddenly sped up and went over to the airport. Each of them took position around the airport and hovered. All of them were at fifferent heights, most of them being close to the ground, but one of them was much higher, and only jus visible. We then turnd off the M4 and onto the M25. The objects continued to hover their. I was then drwan to a birght light in the corner of my eye. It was another object, now hovering just 100 feet off the ground. It was also motionless. As we strated to leave the Hethrow area, I saw another orange light, but much further away. It then started flashing, before disapeering out of sight. But then, the object which had been very high up came down to under 1,000ft, and drifted over the road. I saw, that it was a golden brown colour, and was shaped like a rectangle with the corneres cut off. There was small blue light in the centre, and search lights could be seen on the front (there was a faint fog on the night) Finally, it spead off back to Heathrow. I have drawn a diagram of what the object looked like below:

Another thing: Through out the encounter, we saw NO aircraft landing or taking off from Heathrow.

Did anyone else see these objects, and was Heathrow closed because of them?

Witness Statement: I was distracted by a bright light out of the lounge window, and when I saw another, I went upstairs to look out of an upstairs window. What I saw was a series of bright UFOs streaming north-eastwards then turning and veering towards the south before disappearing into the night sky. I could discern a triangular three-pointed shape and they glowed brightly. There were no flashing lights - it was a continuous glow of a slightly orange hue. They made no sound and they flew lower than conventional flight path I think I saw around 20 in all, sometimes 'stacking' one or two above each other, and making a point of doing so, as if in a controlled display, before veering off and streaming away towards the south-south-east. They were definitely not Chinese Lanterns. I've never seen anything like it before. I tried to take pictures, but did not have good enough equipment or time to get anything distinctive. I've got two or three images which are suffering from camera shake and movement, so they appear as orange smears. However at least it proves I wasn't making it up!

Witness Statement: Last night whislt watching "Catch me if you can" on the tele, something caught my eye out of the bedroom window. We live on a flight path, so at first i didnt take any notice. After a few seconds i noticed that it hadn't moved. I pulled the net curtains backs to get a better look. First i thought it was a plane on fire, but it didnt seem to move. Startled i woke my wife, she to could see the orange/red ball in the sky. Then it seemed to move at a very fast rate, off into the distance. Then out of no where, another one appeared directly in front of us. The distance it was away was very hard to estimate. It seemed to rise, then stop. Then the other one started to "come" towards the new one. I was shocked and i have never seen anything like this. After they both hovered there for 30 seconds, they took off towards the sky untill they disappeared behind what could only have been the clouds.
I have been looking through the Web and came acroos this site, after reading a few posts, its seems to be the same thing that everyone else has also sighted. Very strange.

Witness Statement: I had just left work and was about to walk home when I noticed a strange black object in the sky, as low as a helicopter would fly around these parts. I studied the object breifly and at first I thought it may have been a black balloon, but it's movements stuck me as odd. It seemed to jerk from side to side slightly. I looked down for a second then looked back up and it was gone. I had a 360 degree view of the sky and there was hadily any wind. I don't understand where it could have gone unless it simply just dissappeared. A couple of days later I did a quick search online and noticed other people in the UK have seen the same thing. I am curious to know if anyone else saw this object on the 19th.

Witness Statement: whilst sitting in garden after eve out with my brother and sister in law we were star watching as a lovely clear night I had just pointed out a satalite traverling high and fast when a few moments latter from the west above a neighbours house we saw what we all thought looked like a distress flare but it was traverling across the sky in a easterly direction within seconds on same path another followed by 4 more on looking up as they travelled over we all noticed themclimbing higher and change in colour from deep red to under neath a white beam moving side to side the last two sphers travelled together a little slower as if the last one had problems keeping in formation and they took longer to gain height and speed - we tried to record on mobile but on checking back we only have the last flicker as they disapeared but we have our recording of speach of what we were all witnessing -

Witness Statement: At approximatley 22.00 hrs, I saw what looked like a 'fireball' ( a typical comet with tail streaking through the atmosphere)travelling west from Calcot, Reading towards Newbury. It was too fast for an aeroplane, no noise, and dissappeared behind the clouds.

Witness Statement: Just looking for Pole Star using Cas and back end of Ursa Major as pointers saw three points of light (magnitude approx 2.0) moving through Ursa Minor towards Cas. At that altitude and speed this was definately abnormal. You don't see 3x sats moving in that proximity at that speed the best i can come up with is that i saw 3x high altitude vehicles at say 60,000 - 70,000 " but to cover the obsereved arc at that altitude they must have been moving at mach 3. Very strange given that i saw very similar incident 30 yrs ago above Swansea thinking about it the objects were also moving on approx the same vector

Witness Statement: On the 28 of june my partner and i were smoking just after 11pm when she pointed out a large white ball of light travelling east flying at the height of a helicopter. Where we smoke in the garden there is an outgoing and incoming flightpath. Nearly every other night we have seen the same thing, it is definitely not a chinese latern because of the sheer movement of it. There is no sound from it. On the 3rd of July 2010 we actually saw 2 together, one slightly ahead of the other and alot higher, both were heading east.

Witness Statement: I was about to go home and looked up and noticed a bright white/pale blue light directly above me heading roughly North West, completely silent. After a few seconds it banked to the left before continuing North West. I lost sight of it behind some trees and it was gone by the time I got to the other side.

This is at least the 6th time I have seen silent white/blue ish lights this year. The last time was June the 30th at 11pm heading South West over my house.

Witness Statement: I went out on the balcony when suddenly I saw a bright red object moving East and I first though it was a helicopter. There was no engine noise and there are a lot of helicopters and planes flying over where I live but they are usually very noisy and their lights are flashing so it was definitely not a machine. It was definitely not a Chinese lantern, I've seen them before and they float slowly with the wind and don't look so big and bright! I though it was a huge meteorite but there was no trail and also the speed and the direction were constant. I though to grab the camera and make a photo but for about only 10-15 seconds it moved far far East and it would appear as a tiny red dot so there was no point to shoot it. Today I searched the news on Internet but found nothing about this, the object was pretty big and bright and definitely somebody else must have seen it. Any idea what sort of object was that?

Witness Statement: I was walking across the University of Reading football pitches close to Windsor Hall Student Residences. There was a group of around 5-6 people walking back to the Student Halls having been for a meal (had not drank anything alcoholic). It was a clear winters night and it was dark. I turned around to speak to a friend and noticed a black, v-shaped flying object moving very swiftly from west to east at low altitude of probably less than 500 ft. It was completely silent and moving very fast - it was only in my sight for approx. 7-8 seconds during which time I managed to point it out to the friend walking with me by my side. It passed directly over our heads and out of view beyond the top of Windsor Hall. The silence and speed of movement was astonishing. There were three faintly illuminated yellow rings spread out evenly across the underside of the craft. It was approximately the width of the football field.

Witness Statement: I saw a cube like object at very high altitude i.e looked as high as crusing commercial aircraft. Binoculars used showed red white and green lights at the corners whitnessed by two others. It appeared to disappear and re appear a few times.

Witness Statement: first appearing in the south east low down at 10 degrees an extremely bright orange glow moved across the sky coming towards me and seemingly high actually its the same route out of heathrow for x-atlantic flights....but this was no plane...the speed was way too high....in less than 1 minute it had appeared, traversed the sky and disappeared, completely silently.....uniform brightness for the duration of its flight.....and very very organge.....ive just checked the websites for ISS sightings and spaceshuttles....but none are scheduled for this area today.....back around last June (2009) i saw something similar but that moved up and down quite rapidly and didnt traverse the whole sky.....the very very odd thing is that this thing emanated from an area of the sky where the last one ended its flight......im ultra perplexed.....i cant say it was a spaceship and im open minded about that.....but it was no plane....no helicopter....no chinese lantern.....and when ive seen satellites theyve not been orange and theyve not lasted a complete tour of the sky at the same brightness.....so tell me.....what was it???

Witness Statement: At about 11pm I went to close the window and saw an orange glowing light travelling South to North at a steady speed. It appeared to slow down as it got past the field that's in that direction. On the 6th of May, at near enough the same time, I saw a simular object out the kitchen window only this one was white and accelerated as it went over the house. Both travelling about the height a helicopter normally would.

Witness Statement: My neighbour and I both witnessed an extremely large and very bright object moving west to east slowly across the sky directly above us. I viewed the object through binoculars and managed to glimpse an elongated triangular shape. I followed the object until it split into two seperate parts and disappeared behind the roofs of neighbouring houses. Living on the Heathrow flight path we are used to lights and anomalies but this was spectacularly different. It may well have been space debris reflecting the sun but if so it was massive. It was impossible to judge height but was significantly higher than localised air traffic.

Witness Statement: Firstly let me say this sighting has taken place during the volcano ash problem when ALL UK and most european flights are grounded by National air traffic service.
I have seen this same light 3 times now over a year, and twice in the last 2 months.
Always the same, an orange glowing light moving at varying rates of speed. Last whilst driving home myself and my freind saw if thru the car windscreen heading north (we travelling towards Sandhust direction), quite high in sky and then we lost it as it passed over us. Arrived home a few minutes later and spotted it again lower in the sky, looking north again. The glow changed and it raised in height slightly, we got out the car and stood in the road watching it for a good minute. It seemed to get closer, then rapidly faded into the night sky. The sky was clear as we could easily see night stars. Again let me say there was NO air traffic due to the no fly zone in place. I am a former pilot and have a long interest in aviation, this object is no normal plane / helicopter, neither a chineese lantern object.
My strongest suspicion is that it is an experimental military craft in which case who cares anyway, but they must be a bit silly to fly it under the current circumstances and think it would not get noticed.

Witness Statement: Just after dark I saw an orange light move very quickly across the sky. I thought nothing of it thinking it was a plane as we live under the Heathrow flight path. About an hour later (9pm ish) I saw another light moving very quickly following the same route as the first - then remembered with the volcano ash there are no planes flying. As I was looking at it through the bedroom window, my partner saw it through the lounge window too. It was bright orange, and looked like some sort of flame or glow. I read the Chinese lantern section but these moved very quickly. I had seen 3 very similar style but static orange lights in a pyramid shape over Reading around September 2009 whereupon a helicopter was flying around them - looking like it was checking what they were. Not sure what they all are though - but the ones today were too big, fast and following a defined route to have been chinese lanterns, and of course the 2009 ones were static for a long period of time so could not have been chinese lanterns either. If anyone knows what these could be we would love to know! We have the camera now at the ready in case of more this evening!

Witness Statement: I had stepped outside for a cigarette and was testing out my new camcorder on a plane when I noticed an incredibly bright star like ufo heading north east directly above my head. Witness Statement: My husban and daughter were driving into the town when my daughter 'phoned my mobile to say 'Quickly, go outside and look up at the amazing orange/red planet.'
I said, it's too cloudy for such a sighting but went outside anyway but could see nothing. My son then came
out to look and we both saw a bright orangey red sphere coming towards us. There was no noise and no flashing lights. It travelled across the sky from west to east, in all takintg about a minute, then disappeared. When my husband returned he confirmed what he had seen and that it could not have been any normal aircraft. I saw something similar several years ago, three sphere in triangular formation, two reddy organ, one bluey green.

Witness Statement: This has taken a long time to report but just recently I saw someone from the RAF report a similar sighting that mine came back to me. I have searched various places to find further details but has been unsuccesful.
I was out with my boyfriend of the time and we were coming back from a nightclub in Bracknell when his car spluttered and died. I was sat in the car and looked across the road where I could see a dark disc shap ascend from behind some trees. After a little while the car started and we drove home. I was pretty scared by this time although he didn't see it he seemed pretty concerned. We pulled up ouside his house and as we got out we could see a large craft overhead that had a searchlight underneath it which was panning left and right as it moved forward. It was completely silent. We ran into his house and his Dad came out with a camera hoping to get a few shots. At a later date his Dad had the film developed and was told that the film had been overexposed. After a while I decided to go home and asked him to take me. He was quite shaken up so asked his sister to come with us. It was a clear, cold night and as we drove to my house we were watching the sky and could see more of these craft overhead. No sound, complete silence. I ran in and went up to my room. I didn't try to wake my parents as they were strict about what time I should be home. I sat looking out of my window until dawn and saw dozens of craft in the sky travelling towards the Newbury area. We never told anyone but some years ago I was talking to my brother and he said he was watching the same thing on the same night. It was reported in the local newspaper but was reputed to be the Armed forces on a joint operation. Didn't realise that they had so many silent craft in operation. Did anyone else see this? I really thought that it was an invasion of some sort and was unable to sleep properly for many weeks after the sighting.

Witness Statement: Before I start to write about my experience, I know that newbury is near a military base and I know that this was almost 7 years ago. But I remember this like yesterday. I also reported this sighting to the MoD at the time.

I was walking in a country lane near Snelsmore Common when I suddenly felt compelled to look up. There, hovering about 25 feet above, was a largish black triangular craft with three small ish red lights in each corner of the triangle. As you can imagine I froze to the spot but I have no idea how long I was gazing up at this black triangle- there was no sound, no humming, nothing. Another small red light appeared in the middle of the craft and it then flew at such a speed that it had disappeared within seconds above the tree line. There was no noise when the craft did this and I did not even feel a wind in my face as it flew off. It freaked me out. Ufo or Military Craft?
