Witness Statement: I was looking out my window which is in nottingham and was looking towards the direction of ema (east midlands airport) wheni saw a bright white light. At first I thought it was a plane because it was on a flight path. After a few seconds i noticed it hadn’t move at all. It remained in the same position for around 30seconds then vanished. But didn’t move it was sorted like somebody had turned a light off. This is making me think it can’t be an airplane or helicopter.

I have just seen a similar object in the sky. It was at relativley low altitude and it was very bright and hovered for about 3 mins. All I could here was a faint buzzing noise and then it began to accelerate eastwards and the bright light dimmed and about three other lights flashed simultaneously. I then later looked at of the south facing window and the same thing happened again but further away this time. I am in long Eaton and when looking southwards I was looking in the direction of east Midlands airport.

this is very similar to what myself and my husband saw last year in the summer.. we are not that far away so it is not within the realms of possibility it could be something similar… my reports are on here.. boston, lincolnshire

Hi. I live in notts and my flat faces south towards ema. I often see a bright light in the sky that doesn’t move for what seems like ages then it goes out. It’s aircraft coming into land with headlights on. They turn to line up with the runway and the light disappears. Disappears from my view anyway. I’m not dismissing what you’ve seen. Just trying to help.

Landing light being switched off or angle changed. The three lights would be strobes.
