Date of Sighting: March 19th 2012

Witness Name: Anonymous

Witness Statement: I was lying on my bed. I was on my laptop and I looked out the window as the sun was beginning to set and it was going to be a nice evening.

I looked out my window in a southerly directing and I could see black triangle thing off in a distance. It was small due to the distance and was hovering.

It wasn’t a helicopter due to the next part.

I watching it for about 10 seconds before it shot up into the sky at a high speed.

  1. Another sighting of the infamous Black Triangle UFO. You have to ask yourself, what Military on earth could possibly possess a craft of that design capable of such maneuvers, seriously?

  2. Anonymous: you could also report your sighting to UFO investigators:

  3. Looks like you and I saw the same object. Please see my sighting from Sauchenfotd Stirling. Fortunately or not , I got to see it up close. Very impressive. Somehow it looked very military , but maybe it is other worldly. Anyway it is good to have another witness. If anyone had any doubts as to my testimony , I would gladly take a lie detrctor test. Keep looking up. Best wishes , Nigel.

  5. I know this area well living not too far away. You say it was hovering south of Aberlour. Any idea of rough distance or area where it may have been hovering over? Seems to link in with similar sighting near Stirling.

  6. T.Wood, I really don’t value your contributions too highly. In relation to your first comment, people said the very same thing about the Gruman B-2 years ago when it was repeatedly mistaken for a UFO before it became public knowledge. I’m sure some of the sightings on this site are truly unexplainable and therefore UFOs, but all of your comments about dimensions and other worlds would imply they’re all from Planet Zog. Ridiculous.

  7. On the contrary, you have to ask yourself if some of these sightings (sic.)aren’t just certain individuals jumping on the Black Triangle Bandwagon, but that’s just me being cynical. Definitely fourth dimensional in this instance though T. :/

  8. As far as jumping on bandwagons goes , I have no particular interest in ufos and no prior knowledge of the very similar sighting to mine only 15 minutes prior in Eroll. I wish Gary had been here to see it. I reported the sighting as I sought corroboration , which I appear to now have. Stirling and Errol are really not far apart. Also the RAF never fly jets here. This craft was so close I could actually see that there were no attachment sites on its undercarriage for rockets etc… If a tornado flies over your house at 150 feet you know about it. This craft was too slow and totally silent. Any lower and it would have hit the trees on the M9 embankment and could have crashed into the road. That is another reason why I posted the sighting : public safety. If that was really a plane , then the pilots had a total disregard for civilian safety.

  9. Peter: If not from “Planet Zog” then where?

  10. Nigel, your sighting is similar to the Kinfauns sighting late last year.

I’m sorry to disagree with you but I have seen Tornado’s near Errol and Stirling; I have seen them go past the Airth Castle Hotel at eye level outside my bedroom window. However, RAF Leuchars now fly Typhoons which are state of the art.

You said “That is another reason why I posted the sighting: public safety. If that was really a plane , then the pilots had a total disregard for civilian safety. CAP Rule 5 applies – 500ft and a 1000 ft over inhabited areas like towns/cities and the ability to land clear. Difficult with some of the power lines and Bannockburn just down the road from the round about.

RAF Leuchars, have a low flying reporting line, you can access this on the stations web page. If they say no military aircraft was flying near the M 9 on the time and date above, you know you have a mystery on your hands. The RAF also publish timetables for low flying which takes place usually above 250 ft on a monthly basis.

    Good luck in your search.

  11. Thanks Nemo. This was most definitely not the RAF. None of their jets are metallic black. None of them have the profile of a wingless solid triangle. None of them have three large glowing hemispherical lights at each apex or a large glowing red light in the centre of the undercarriage. I saw it so close I can confirm that there were no apertures on the undercarriage for landing gear. It was seamless. Once again I stress this was 150 ft or lower right over our heads. Silent. No sign of weaponry or attachment sites. No telltale frontal aerial or any sign of radar . Despite the shortness of my sighting I was able to see and remember this craft in great detail. There were no flags, decals or associated aircraft markings. I saw it side on as well as from below. Finally , by its nature , a jet must have jet engines for propulsion. There were none. I checked the Kinfauns sighting. Similar. Thank you for your helpful feedback and comments.

  12. Nigel classic triangle. I know the Taranis is under test, some will say in Australia, However, I think its happening in the UK. I have no doubt the Taranis can loiter – but not like this?

My concern is both how high it was, where it was and it appears to be operating with impunity. As you will be aware there are quite a few high tension wires in the area.

I think you need to contact RAF Leuchars and inform them what you saw. I think you’ll get three possible answers:

    1. We are aware!
    2. We don’t know – tell us what you saw – you may get a visit
    3. Provide you with another number to ring

Good luck with your search and keep us updated.

  13. Nemo , thanks. I shall follow this up with Leuchars. I am not embarassed to speak to them as I am telling the truth. I am certain they will not be dismissive. Without going into too much personal detail , lets just say that I am a very credible witness that they will listen to without laughing. Once Easter is over I shall update you with comment here. By the way, Google is full of Taranis images. Are they reliable and accurate ? They do not look like the craft I saw. And yes , that roundabout is crazy. I think there are a few extraterrestrials who don,t know how to drive yet !

  14. The images as per Bae are reliable. I look forward to what you discover.

  15. I have contacted Leuchars. A little difficult to speak to staff of sufficient seniority but eventually did. Very helpful. They have no record of any of their aircraft being airborn at that time. The chap I spoke to did not seem at all fazed by my description of the craft and even pre-empted some of the details. He had definite knowledge of what I saw. By this I mean it was obvious he had dealt with previous reports regarding these craft. Whether he knows where they come from he could or would not divulge. He was polite and not dismissive. He was concerned about the low – level flying aspect and will conduct his own inquiry with the civilian air authorities. So I remain none the wiser. End of report ?
