Dudley, West Midlands-17th April 2010

Location of Sighting: Dudley West Midlands
Date of Sighting: 17th April 2010
Time: Evening
Witness Name: M

Witness Statement: My fiance first noticed the light coming over a neighbours house roof. When I looked I saw a strong red light travelling East over the roofs of the houses but quite high. I went to stand in the garden for a while to watch it. This red light was solid, not flashing and travelled above my head then just disappeard. There was no sound and no cloud. Whilst standing outside quite a while hoping to catch another sight of it I did see two chinese lanters going with the South wind direction. The two red lights we saw were definitely not lanterns and were travelling in a completely different manner and direction.

  1. We saw 5 orange lights on the 17th and one on the 16th. We’re in Wollaston, Stourbridge, not a million miles away from you. How do chinese lanterns move then? I thought the one we saw on the 16th was a ufo, but changed my mind on the 17th when I saw more of them. I still think it was a chinese lantern myself but have a look at the video I shot of it (not a fantastic video capability on my camera), but I’d love to hear your comment.

  2. i think i saw this i live in birmingham pype hayes and saw a simular sighting around this date around 10pm – 12pm. i did not see any lanterns but a solid red light, which was visible for around 5minits to me it was amazing.

  3. 15th may I saw two red lights very close to each other they didnt move, the reason it caught my eye was that a star was moving vertically up from the 2 red lights the star stopped and the 2 red lights after 5 min disappeared

This was over hastings/St leonards did anyone else see this?

  4. pretty creepy happened to me out in the desert once and was kinda freeky
