Hawarden Flintshire-3rd September 2010

Date of Sighting: 3/9/10
Time: 11-15pm ish

Witness Statement: My wife and I saw an orange/yellow glow (like the colour of a sodium street lamp but paler} in the clear night sky. it appeared to be made up of two circular discs joined together (on edge) circling twice to the north west of Hawarden. It pulsed slightly (but the light remained constant).It was completely silent and moved very slowly.It remained in our view for about ten minutes. This was not a conventional aircraft.

  1. I think what I saw must be related to your sighting. It was the same night at about 11:10pm; I was in the garden looking up at the sky as I was waiting for the dog to finish up. Initially I was watching a satellite tracking across the sky and suddenly noticed what I thought looked like two frisbees joined together edge on. The leading one was glowing a molten bronze colour the second was very dull, almost imperceptible. It was moving fairly quickly and was only in view for about 20 – 30 seconds heading in a south easterly direction from the Holywell area which would take it over Hawarden towards Chester.
