North West Kent-4th January 2009

Location of Sighting: North West Kent
Date of Sighting: 4th January 2009
Time: 6.00am
Witnesses: Elaine Onyett

Witness Statement: I live in North West Kent and spotted 3 bright large white lights in the sky around 6 am on 4th January from my bedroom window. They appeared to be hovering fairly low down in the sky (two close together – one above the other and the third further to the right of the other two). I watched for a few minutes and they then moved fairly slowly in a circular motion and ended up back in the same sort of place and position. the lights dimmed every now and then but then grew brighter again. They looked rather like a large white spotlight in the sky. I could see planes with their red/white lights flickering on and off much higher up at the same time but these did not look anything like stars or planes – much too large and bright. I left to wake up my daughter and she too saw them although she only looked for a few seconds and they had then dimmed somewhat. After about 6 or 7 minutes they dimmed and moved away behind, I assume, the clouds. Could this have been helicopters? although I did not hear any noise.

  1. hello my name is Jackie.
As unreal as it seems i live in bexleyheath and on that Sunday morning early i heard a whirring noise. Its was cold and dark to look out and more often than not i joke that it could be a UFO. Well during the day time and talking my sister who leaves only 5 mins from me – had experienced the same noise. We both wish now we had looked and this has just summed up what we both thought afterwards is that of a UFO.
