Witness Statement
I came out of my house,i then noticed something glinting in the sky,it looked metallic. It was orange and cylindrical. It remained stationary. It was at an angle in the sky of between 75 and 85 degrees. The sky was clear,it was sunny and there was no air traffic or vapour trails visible.I could not tell how high it was because I had no sense of its size.I went back into my house to get a witness ,however when we came out about 20 seconds later it was gone.I had seen this object for about 10 seconds. It could have been a drone but I heard no sound and saw no rotors moving. Also if it had been a drone it could not have disappeared without trace so quickly.Further,if it had been a drone the user may fly it again around here, especially as the weather has been good lately. But I have not seen it since. It certainly was not a Chinese lantern and it was unlikely to be a kite, since there was no wind.An interesting little experience,i wish I could have seen it for longer.Even so,it did seem strange enough to report.
