Ballingry – Fife, Scotland-16th December 2000

Location of Sighting: Ballingry – Fife, Scotland
Date of Sighting:12/16/2000
Time:1600-1945 PM
Witness Name: Ken Murdoch

Witness Statement:
As I was driving through Lochgelly (FIFE, the wife noticed several people looking through bino`s at a bright light in the sky). So we pulled over and looked up into the sky and saw this bright shining light which looked like a very bright star. (I say star as this object did not move) but it seemed too close to be a star.

We drove home and looking through the back window of the house it was still very visible 3 miles from where we had stopped in the car previous. I made a note of the time and it was 1730 PM. At 1845 PM the bright light had vanished.

I proceeded to go out and have a good look, but it was no longer there. I had watched this (bright light) for a good 20 minutes and it didn’t move change colour nor make a noise. Then I went to do something and when I went back it had disappeared. I describe this as a very bright light, bigger and brighter than at first thought to be the North Star, brighter and closer than ‘Hale Bop’ but, of course, not moving. Tonight, 17 DEC 2000 I have looked very closely for this object but, it has definitely gone.

Southside of Glasgow, Scotland-14th/15th July 2009

Location of Sighting: Southside of Glasgow, Scotland
Date of Sighting: 14th/15th July 2009
Time: 00:10
Witness Name: JF

Witness Statement: I finished work at midnight and was in a taxi heading west on the M8. Just as we came down off the Kingston bridge and swept round the corner I looked to my left and a orange ball, high up in the sky caught my eye. I then notice two other orange balls in a diagonal line (downwards and off to the left). They had a definite orange glow and seemed to be static – they were all of a similar size and appearance. The first one I noticed (the highest one) was way too high to be attached to any building or anything like that. I stared at them until the disappeared behind the landscape somewhere around or after the M77 cut off (we continued down the M8 in the direction of Paisley).

Springsteen at Hampden, Glasgow-14th July 2009

Location of Sighting: Glasgow
Date of Sighting: 14th July 2009
Time: midnight – 12.30
Witness Name: Don

Witness Statement: I was walking back from Springsteen at Hampden last night. Was waiting for a taxi at the corner of Dumbreck Road and Mosspark Boulevard (I see this area is mentioned in previous sightings). Looked to the south east and saw orange balls of light – they looked pretty smooth & didn’t flicker. They were rising from the ground to the clouds where they would disappear. Usually rose in a straight line, one at a time, although sometimes two or thre would rise in the same line with gaps between them. Once a triangle rose before reorganising and disappearing into the clouds. Each ball took about a minute or so to reach the cloud level and they moved very smoothly – didn’t drift about. At one point, what looked like a grey upturned frisbee dropped down from the clouds – it didn’t descend as smoothly as the orange balls rose, and it disappeared behind the hills, houses etc between me & wherever this was happening. Hard to judge distance – they looked pretty big and pretty far away, but I’m guessing. This went on for about 20 mins then stopped. One more ball rose about 10 mins later then my taxi came. I tried to video it on my phone, but they weren’t particularly bright so you can’t see much. Anyone else see this?
