Witness Statement: My daughter and I saw a burning orange light in the sky moving fast until it disappeared ,the whole sighting lasted about 5 minutes. It was a ball of light I thought at first it was a plane engine on fire, but there was no noise or smoke trail.

  1. Me and my friends also saw a burning orange light in the sky on Friday 10th July but we were in Dartford Kent. I think it was maybe an hour before the one you spotted.

    It rose into the air like a firework but did not explode – instead it steadily moved across us in the sky and looked like a burning chinese lantern. There were other people in the garden who had also noticed this single light and were trying to take photos but nobody managed to get one in time.

    Did anyone manage to get a photo of this on Friday?

  2. i saw the same thin last night 15 07 09 and the time was also 11.20 from brinscall in lancashire,no noise at first i thought it was a hellicopter but no noise and it moved to fast was an orange glow what the heck was that

  4. I too asw this bright burning light at about 22.45 last night could this i wonder be something generated from the storm?..very strange.
